One Simple Change Could Relieve Your Sciatica & Back Pain
Repetitive movements or held improper postural positions known as Repetitive Stress Injuries are the number one cause of pain in the body. In this video we show you how sitting with your legs crossed may be causing your lower back pain and sciatica. With one simple change to your daily habits, you can learn how to relieve your pain.
I know you're thinking to yourself that sitting with your legs crossed is not causing your sciatica, but it is a HUGE cause of sciatica and lower back pain. I constantly have clients coming into the studio with lower back pain and sciatica and changing this simple repetitive stress is the key to helping them. Many of my clients have already been to several physical therapists but sciatica comes back because they never change this repetitive stress.
Many times the pain doesn't show up until we sleep. The pain can be a throbbing pain sensation in your butt or lower back. You think it's your sleep pattern (which it could be) but it could also be the way you're sitting! I know, because I sometimes sit with my left leg tucked under me (crap, I'm doing it now) and after 3-5 days of doing so, boom, I have sciatica waking me up at night. Change this horrible habit, and your body will thank you for it.
